It's not too bad, is it?

Critique coloring please?

I've got something of an art block, and I need to work on my coloring. So I colored this. :iconimhappyplz:

I don't really have any critique on your colouring. :D I could only suggest using more than one shade of shading and more than one shade of light, and blending it all together. That doesn't work with all lineart though.

Oh, okay. I think that's a good idea. Thanks! :D
I'll try that next time.

You're welcome! :)
One shade of shadow/light is usually enough for this manga-type stuff, though. Well, you'll just have to experiment with it a bit. :D

Only thing I would suggest is to soften the shading to give it more of a feel. BUT I FAIL AT THIS. So, yeah. It's very cute~

An echo stronger than words, can you hear it now?

Thank you soooooo much for colouring the lines!

Just a few suggestions, like some others have said, I would just suggest that you smudge or blur (to blend) the shadings to make it softer so as to suggest flow between light and dark colours.

Also I am going to assume you have coloured this in Photoshop? If you have, change the 'background' layer into a normal layer so you would be able to set layer setting into "multiply", which will help you retain the original lines. It makes life easier by letting you colour over the lines using another layer and still maintaining the lines. But I do admit my lines from the beginning weren't very dark and was quite thin. Sorry about that. OTL But if your intention was to colour over the lines then please disregard my earlier comment. :)

Overall a very great attempt at it and thank you thank you thank you ever so much for colouring it!
